On September 3, 2020, we was invited by the Hunan Provincial Power Supply Bureau to conduct the ETCR2000+ clamp grounding resistance tester transformer field test in Zhuzhou.
Hunan Zhuzhou transformer test field application case sharing: When the transformer has repeated grounding, we can directly use the ETCR2000+ clamp grounding resistance tester to clamp the flat steel grounding down-conductor for measurement. The jaw size of the ETCR2000+ clamp grounding resistance tester is 65mm×32mm, the jaw is large, which is very suitable for the flat steel grounding downconductor of the transformer.
In the field test of the transformer, we can also short the two ground electrodes to test the connection between the ground electrodes and the ground grid. The smaller the value displayed on the screen, the better the connection. As can be seen from the figure, the measured value at that time was 0.027 Ω, which proved that the grounding electrode was well connected to the grounding grid.
In the same grounding electrode, due to the large electric field interference of the transformer, the accuracy will be affected, so it is recommended to select the end away from the transformer for measurement.
In order to verify the accuracy of the value of the clamp resistance tester, we also used the three-wire grounding resistance test method of the ETCR3200C multifunctional grounding resistance tester for comparison. As can be seen from the figure below, the value obtained by using ETCR3200C (3.28Ω) is basically the same as the value measured by using ETCR200+ (3.12Ω), which proves that the measurement using ETCR2000+ is more convenient, fast, and numerically accurate.
