ETCR EM1400 Integrated Overhead Line Ground Fault Detector, also known as dichotomous method overhead line ground fault locator, overhead line single-phase ground fault detector, small current ground fault locator and cable equipped dedicated overhead line fault locator. The detector is consisted of host, detect clamp, test line, grounding pin, insulating rod and other accessories, wireless communication is adopted to use between the host and the detect clamp.

The host adopt with 7 inch true-color screen, which can make the fault data explicit and test result clear and obvious. The host is equipped with voice broadcast function, which voice prompts the direction of line fault and makes the on-site operation easier. The innovative detect clamp integrates signal transmission and acquisition, with a clamp structure that is small in size, lightweight and easy to install, one installation can complete line fault detection, with simple and fast operation, greatly reducing test workload and improving work efficiency. The detect clamp with non-contact electroscope, also with Bluetooth communication and USB communication interface, can detect if the electrical cable is live and emit sound and light alarm to make sure the safety of operator and detector. The detector also has Bluetooth communication function and USB communication interface.

ETCR EM1400 Integrated Overhead Line Ground Fault Detector can locate ground fault of multiple line. After the overhead line stopping operating, testing starts section by section from one end of the line. The detect clamp applies low frequency high voltage signal to line and detects the current on both left and right sides of line. The direction of ground fault point (yellow or red direction) is shown on the host by analyzing the pulse current and impedance on the left and right sides. The detection clamp has the corresponding yellow and red end, and tests segment by segment along the direction indicated by fault point. Before the fault point, the test result show that the fault point is behind it; after the fault point, the test result show that the fault point is in front of it, thus gradually approaching the fault point and determining the fault location.
