When working on live lines, the safety distance between the operator and live parts must not be less than the requirements specified in relevant work procedures. When workers wear this alarm, it triggers audible and visual alerts upon approaching a high-voltage live conductor within a certain distance—based on the safety distance corresponding to the voltage level—to remind electrical workers to exercise caution and prevent high-voltage electric shock accidents. The alarm is widely used in high-voltage work environments such as the power industry, railways, and industrial and mining enterprises.

EM1880E Safety Helmet High-Voltage Proximity Alarm features two detection and alarm modes: voltage detection (monitoring electric fields) and current detection (monitoring magnetic fields). It utilizes non-contact sensing technology to comprehensively monitor overhead electric and magnetic fields, with a voltage detection range of 0.4 kV to 500 kV and a current detection range of 1 A to 200 A. Both detection modes are enabled simultaneously, and an alarm is triggered when values exceed the alarm threshold. When a voltage alarm is triggered, the LED strip lights up red; when a current alarm is triggered, the LED strip lights up blue, providing users with more comprehensive and safer protection. The alarm also features self-testing, adjustable alarm sensitivity, a mute function, progressive alarm indication, and voltage source direction indication. The alarm also features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing users to adjust alarm sensitivity, check battery level, and view alarm parameters via Bluetooth. The alarm is energy-efficient and durable, with a standby time of up to 7 days on a full charge. It attaches to the brim of a safety helmet using two elastic clips; its anti-slip design ensures a secure fit, and it is very easy to install or remove.
